Synopsis: | Eighteen-year-old Jess' parents want her to be a nice, conventional Indian girl. But Jess wants to play football like her hero, David Beckham. Playing in the park, she is spotted by Jules, who invites her to join the local women's football team. The girls are the same age and they share the same dreams. As they become firm friends, their team really start to go places. But Jess's parents do not understand why she will not settle down, study for law school and learn to cook the perfect Indian meal. Jess is torn between her team's and her family's expectations, and things come to a head when an important match and her sister's wedding are scheduled for the same day.
