Synopsis: | Fauzia came from Pakistan to join her westernized husband in England. The marriage does not work out, and eventually the husband abandons Fauzia in favor of his white girlfriend. Although expected to return to Pakistan, Fauzia decides to stay in Britain. The film shows her isolation, her - often ambivalent - process of 'assimilation' and the decisions she has to make, among others concerning her pregnancy. | |
