Synopsis:The film deals with a woman from the Caribbean who has retreated into mental illness to escape the cold reality of life in England. She is torn between the old world of her origins and her life in England. Her children struggle to understand their mother's cultural and emotional homelessness and, at the same time, try to understand their family's past and West Indian heritage, which to them is full of secrets and pain.
