Synopsis: | Narrated by the Caribbean author Andrew Salkey, this documentary presents the "Reggae Festival" which took place on 26 April 1970 at the Empire Pool, Wembley (London), and drew an audience of ten thousand black and white youths. The film reflects the diversity and impact of reggae music as well as the Zeitgeist of 1970 through interviews, songs and views of the Caribbean and urban Britain.
