| Synopsis: | On 28th July 1993, five police officers and an immigration official forced entry into the flat of Joy Gardner with the intention of deporting her and her five-year-old son Graeme to Jamaica. Joy Gardner died after the police used force to restrain her, including tying her with a body belt and ankle straps and gagging her with 13 feet of surgical tape wrapped around her head. Three of the officers later faced charges of manslaughter but were acquitted. | |
